According to Sinuous Magazine, after the award show aired there was major boost in sales for most of the artists who performed. But the biggest boost was in favor of 3 artists, Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran, and Jennifer Lopez.

Each one of these artists had awesome performances. They performed their singles in their own way and they all were good. Bruno Mars performance was amazing and because of that his sales for the song Treasure (off of his sophomore album Unorthodox Jukebox) went 220%; approximately 24,000 downloads. Jennifer Lopez gave a high octane performance of her single Live it Up feat Pitbull. Her sales went up 53%; giving her a total of 65,000 downloads. Ed Sheeran gave a mellow but passionate rendition of his song Lego House. His sales went 134%; giving him a total of 56,000 downloads.

Other performers received a boom in their sales as well Chris Brown's smash hit Fine China went up 41% and had approximately 35,000 downloads, Selena Gomez's Come and Get It went up 15% and had a total of 164,000 downloads, will.i.am's #thatPower feat. Justin Bieber went up 3% and had a total of 81,000 downloads, and finally David Guetta's Play Hard feat Ne-Yo and Akon went up 164%; with a total of 12,000 downloads.

I'm confused. What about Taylor Swift, Prince, Miguel, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Nicki Minaj, and Band Perry? They had beautiful performances (despite Miguel's jumping mess). Why didn't their sales go up? I just think that very strange.

Anyway it seems like Award Shows have a significant impact on an artists career. Boosting their sales and popularity. I for one enjoy the award shows. It shows whose a studio artist and whose a singer. Honestly the dancing and stuff is awesome for visual. But if you can't relay your product in public like you relay in the studio then you should just be a recording artist. Studio performance only!

Except for Prince HE'S AWESOME!!!!
