The Billboard Music Awards were on Sunday night and they were AWESOME!!!! I usually don't watch the awards shows because they are repetitive with the performances, winners, and everything. So I tend to steer clear of most award shows. But in this case I was flipping through the channels and saw a glimpse of Madonna's MDNA tour and I was so captivated by her tour's grandeur that I had to watch the rest of the show. I was so glad that I did! Because I would've really missed something SPECTACULAR! So let's go through the winners of the night and nominees then move on to the performances.

Performances of the Night
I really liked Bruno Mars Performance her performed his song Treasure. It was reminiscent of old school performers like James Brown, The Temptations, etc. It was down home good singing and I loved it! I'm so in love with Bruno Mars music, I can't help but dig everything he does. He's so smooth with it OMG I'm definitely a major FAN! Bruno looked awesome his singing was on point, he really performed!!!!

The Band Perry performed their single Better Dig Two. The song itself has a country root with an uptempo beat. I listen to the Band Perry and I really liked their performance as well. The theatrics of the lights and the song really worked the crowd. I loved it! It was contemporary country music at its finest.
Miguel performed Adorn. Miguel was nominated for several awards including song of the year and more. His performance was great. The guy can really sing. He was sultry and sexy. It was awesome. My husband called him a baby prince LMAO it was hilarious but anyway. The only issue with Miguel which I'm sure you all know by now, he clipped a girl during his performance. Trying to jump over the mosh pit close by the stage he ended up landing on her neck and head. Its all over social media so look it up but here's his performance:

Selena Gomez performed Come and Get It. Basically it was a greek goddess and bollywood combo performance. I'm not a fan of Selena Gomez, the singing was lack luster and it was just boring. She did okay performing her music. Not knocking the woman I'm just saying she's just not my cup of tea.
Icona Pop performed I Love It. This song was awesome! I never knew who the people were that made the song. The first time I ever heard the song was on a commercial. But anyway, the performance was dope! The girls were live, the music was crazy, and everything was on point awesome performance by Icona Pop!
Taylor Swift 22! I love Taylor Swift. She's like the girl next door. Very down to earth attitude. She performed her hit 22 with the Jabbawockeez! It was an awesome performance. Her performance was probably the biggest in terms of stage, dancers, and extras. But it was awesome and I was so impressed.
Kacey Musgraves performs her single Merry Go Round. I don't care for the song nor the performance. But I will post it for ya'll to hear and see for yourself. Its just not my cup of tea.

Jennifer Lopez feat. Pitbull performs her hit Live It Up! The performance was HOT! Jennifer is BADASS baby. She was the absolute bomb! She danced her ass off and she sang (alright now she can sing somewhat ehh its not a perfect voice but it works for her). Anyway she was GOOOODDDD! J. Lo & Pitbull Live it Up Performance HERE:
Nicki Minaj feat. Lil Wayne Highschool! It was a lack luster performance in terms of her singing. She rapped and sang, but her singing was off. She wasn't really trying hard but she did ok. She gave lil wayne a lap dance on stage. Anywho Here's her performance:
Chris Brown performed Fine China with special guest guitarist Orianthi . He wasn't good on the singing part. It was bad because he was very hoarse, you can hear it in his voice when he tried to sing. I noticed it when initially started singing. But overall he danced very well and let the track do most of the singing. At least he didn't lip synch, he tried. He did his best and had a little Michael Jackson tribute at the end take a look for yourself:

All in all it was a great show some hits and misses but a good show. Tracy Morgan was awesome and funny. Good job Billboard!
