Salisbury Steak is a classic american recipe. A great way to use ground beef or ground turkey. Salisbury steak can be paired with a baked potato,  buttered noodles, or mashed potatoes. And of course a vegetable of some kind, steamed broccoli, steamed mixed veggies, or any vegetable you like!

Ingredients:

Salisbury Steaks

2 pkgs of Ground Beef, Chuck or Ground Turkey
2 Whole Bell Peppers, Diced
2 Whole Onions, Diced
3 Cloves of Garlic, Chopped
2 Eggs
3 Cups of Unseasoned Bread Crumbs
(Olive Oil if Using Ground Turkey)

Gravy

Flour 1/4 cup of flour
Beef or Chicken Stock (Or Water if You Have Niether)
House Seasoning Mix (to taste)

House Seasoning Mix

4 tbsp Salt
3 tbsp Pepper
2 tbsp Cumin
1 tbsp Paprika
1 tsp Onion Powder
1 tsp Garlic Powder
2 tbsp Dried Parseley
2 tbsp Dried Thyme
2 tbsp Dried Oregano
1/2 Cumin

Directions

Begin with sauteeing the bell pepper, garlic, and onions in pam spray or a small amount of olive/canola oil on medium/low heat. Sautee until onions and peppers are translucent and soft. Put in a bowl and spread around to help cool down the vegetables. Use a big mixing bowl and combine the ground beef, cooled veggies (onions, garlic, bell pepper), eggs, bread crumbs, and house seasoning at least most of it (and a tbsp of olive oil if using turkey). Use your hands and mix everything together until meat mixture is fully incorporated. Use a ice cream scooper or spoon to gauge the size and amount of meat in each salisbury steak. Roll into meatballs and place in the bowl. Once all meat has been rolled begin pressing them into salisbury steaks. Get a skillet heat on medium heat and spray with pam cook 4 to 5 salisbury steaks at a time. Use the same pan to make the gravy. Start with the flour whisk flour in the pan until browned then add stock or water. Whisk the flour and stock (or water) until all flour has been thoroughly incorporated. Add the seasoning and allow to simmer. After 5 minutes taste and if it needs salt or pepper add and cook for 5 more minutes. Once thickened begin adding the salisbury steaks to a large pot. Add gravy to the pot and let the steaks simmer on low heat. Cook in the gravy for 10 minutes and serve.

*Ensure if the gravy from scratch is too complicated buy gravy master or gravy mix. Make sure there is enough gravy to cover all the meat that is made*
