Nicki Minaj dropped or rather "leaked" Lookin A** N**** two months ago and it took the internet by storm. Similar to what happened when Control dropped there were parodies, remakes, and covers in abundance. In light of Nicki's song, I found some covers and parodies that I liked and some that I didn't. Of course the original is the business. Think of Lookin A** N**** as an equivalent to No Scrubs by TLC. Nicki is more gritty and detail oriented but the message is the same. 

First up is Trey Songz with Look At These B******. Trey Songz is known for his covers the last couple of mixtapes he dropped Gentlemens Club, Anticipation 1 and 2, and #LemmeholDatBeat 1 and 2 were great. He covered major songs that were out at the time and created his own versions. Trey is a master at transforming chart topping bangers into his own unique brand of Hip Hop and R&B (for example his cover of Bust Ya Windows or In Ya Phone or Paper Planes. My favorite of his covers!). 

Cassidy another fave on this list. He covered a internet craze songs like Control and now he's taking a stab at Lookin A** N****. Say what you want to about Cassidy he's spitting real ish! I love his remake of the song. Think of his version as a more indepth version of Trey Songz' version. He really took it to them. Its the truth!!!! 

Then we come to Lil Mo. She was cool. She had some good one liners. Let me put it this way. I played it once and I don't need to play it again. It was alright. 

Then there was this underground singer Young Relle tried it. He was cool, singing was alright. Lyrically it was lacking major content! Plus he used Meek Mill's name to boost the video views on YouTube and Meek Mill hasn't done a cover or remake of Lookin A** N**** as far as I know (if you've seen it or heard it please let me know).
