UPDATE! New to TV: BET has a New Talk Show and Keke Palmer is Hosting!!!!!
4/25/2014 03:30:00 AMThe beautiful and talented Keke Palmer will be gracing our daily TV screens in her new talk show! Currently the name is The Keke Palmer Project but that is subject to change. The show is being produced by Judge Mathis' production company Mathis Productions in conjunction with Telepictures (the same company who produced Judge Mathis' court show). Keke Palmer's new talk show will center around current events, pop culture, music, fashion, sex, and celebrity interviews. She will also feature "on the street" and undercover segments. But her show also stems from her social media interactions with her many fans. Here's a quote from Keke about her social media interaction:
“I like to read quotes that touch on how I am feeling. If I am dealing with confusion, I will read quotes about clarity and peace of mind. I started posting these quotes on my Twitter page, and the fans responded so positively! I realized that many of them were dealing with similar issues, and the quotes helped to open up a genuine dialogue between us,”
Keke's new talk show will premiere in July no set date yet. It will run weekdays Monday thru Friday for 4 weeks to test out the market and see how well it does. If it does well it will change the landscape of daytime tv. Keke Palmer will be the youngest talk show host in history (she is 20 years old).
Keke Palmer has several projects in the works for this year and the next. Her new horror movie Drew Barrymore's production called Animal. She's got her talk show of course. She frequently posts Vine videos with the King of Vine King Bach (funniest dude you'll ever see on vine absolutely hilarious). She has 6-episode a stint on the show Masters of Sex on Showtime. She is co-starring in the Queen Latifah production Brotherly Love. And she co-starred in an indie film called Imperial Dreams that premiered at the Sundance Film Festival.
*UPDATE*
Keke's new show is called Just Keke and it airs June 30th at 5pm on BET! Finally a ray of sunshine on tv beyond the norm. I love Keke Palmer. She's really cool and down to earth. Something most girls of all ethnicities can really aspire to be! She's living proof that talent can win out. You don't have to be risque to make it in the business!
